Within the limits of this game's engine, it is hardly possible to create anything more realistic than combat at pistol range in an urban setting, but that is not the issue. In some minor aspects and details, it is still possible to make something close to reality. But what is stopping the developers? They are hindered not only by their own stupidity, but also by their brains being poisoned by national prejudice, apparently to satisfy the “needs” of some patriotic types from a factory like ours who somehow need to defeat the “enemies.”
In the well-known schemes of Oplot armor module, they “did not notice” the armor barrier between the ERA layers at first, then made it 25 mm, then “mild steel,” then simply removed it.
A drawing of the module appeared on the Internet, charlatans said that if we include this barrier, then we will reduce the effectiveness of the ERA (probably to negative values, so that it helps the APFSDS, since even without taking into account the ERA, the armor protection against APFSDS is higher than that of the T-80U and 80UD).
At the same time, these cheaters are also engaged in outright falsification, claiming that “in pursuit of modular armor, the thickness of the upper frontal part was reduced.” The thickness was “reduced” from 754 mm along the trajectory of the projectile to more than 820 mm.
As a result, we see posers who reveal their national complexes under the guise of “realism.” The most surprising thing is that there are those who buy such feces products for money.
In reality it is politically motivated trash, not “Realistic Military Vehicles”.
