The BM Oplot tank armor falsification Wartunder.

 Computer game news. The BM Oplot tank has been added to Wartunder. Well, if you're interested, you're interested. I wouldn't have written about it if so many people hadn't been asking questions about it – how come?
For the Oplot with the “Duplet” tandem ERA armor, they gave it APFSDS protection equal to the T-80U with built-in Rjynfrn-5 ERA from the 80s. True, the Oplot is slightly more powerful – not 620, but 621 mm.
Here, the owner (developer) is the boss, and if he is a brainless, nationally obsessed moron, then the only place to complain is to the sports lottery.
There is absolutely no point in seriously considering this arcade game, which is all about posturing and posing as realistic. All these “leaks of secret documents” are just part of the advertising, and in reality, there are fabricated numbers twisted to suit “patriotism,” spiced up with Korean randomness in the style of Lineage 2 and a brainless damage model.
What to pay attention to:
The BM42 Mango APFSDS was tested with an armor penetration of ~450 mm at a range of 2000 m along the trajectory of the projectile. But the test firing was conducted from a distance of 100 m, which increases its armor penetration to >550 mm.
The BM42 APFSDS consists of two cores, so its interaction with ERA differs from monoblock Western  APFSDS. Monoblocks  APFSDS penetrate more, but the second core of the Mango, tumbling, leaves a mark of 65-70 mm on the rear barrier of Noz and Duplet. Quote:
...after being hit by BM-42 armor-piercing sub-caliber shells from a distance of 100 m, the residual penetration depth measured at an angle of 90° to the surface of the test plate was:
 - in the central part of the models with “Noz” ERA protection - 76 mm;
- in the central part of the models with “Duplet” ERA protection - 58 mm;
- in the upper part of the models with “Noz” ERA protection - 65 and 72 mm.

In Soviet times, the Mango  APFSDS was used as an analogue of the West German DM-23, while at the same time, the “Duplet” analogue was tested with more modern  APFSDS, such as the Leclerc OFL 120 F (DM-43). You can see the results above, with the OFL 120F outperforming the “modern” Russian 3BM60 rounds in terms of its characteristics.

It would be wise for developers to consider that armor-piercing rounds work differently on different armored vehicles reactive  armor structures, each with their own characteristics. But this is unlikely, as they are focused on achieving a virtual "victory" over Ukrainian BM "Oplot" tank.
In conclusion, is the “Duplet” some kind of impenetrable miracle armor? Sixteen years have passed since it was adopted for service, and during this time,  APFSDS development has not stood still and has evolved in terms of overcoming built-in dynamic protection (segmented structure etc). That is why the Duplet ERA  was designed to be modular and could be replaced with more advanced designs during the tank's life cycle. But that is another matter.
In conclusion, the game itself is quite good, if you don't take into account everything that comes after tanks such as the T-54, M26, Tigers, and Panthers, i.e., levels 3-4. After that, it's just pretentious “patriotic” junk with a hint of realism.
None of the above applies to the quality of the 3D tank model itself—everything is fine there.
