Concerning T-80U destroyed on February 25, 2022. The damage resulted by ammunition explosion of this tank looks quite puzzling at the first sight (Yet typical for any tank which has not compartilized ammunition in hull i.e. 90% of all existing tanks).
We can ser upper glacis separated from the lower part with missing “special armor” inserts inside frontal part.
Sometimes judging by limited data is rashly.
For example on the photo, the tank does not have a turret - so it did not have a turret? It is the same with fiberglass inserts, it lies on the left side of the photo thrown from disintegrated glacis. Such situation can be explained by the design of frontal hull and its wildings intended for protection from outside threats, not from inside explosions.
The central steel plate in T-80U is not weld to rear or sides of glacis, so it may have also “ripped” out by the explosion.
